Which photos can I use for a Ramalama AI video?
How many photos do I need?
| Mode | Photos | What to upload |
|---|---|---|
| Just me | 1 | One person, facing the camera |
| My pet | 1 | One dog or cat, with face and body visible |
| Me + my pet | 2 | One person photo and one separate pet photo |
What framing helps preserve likeness?
A head-to-knees photo provides more body reference than a tight selfie. Use even lighting, keep the eyes visible and remove heavy filters. Avoid group photos, mirrors, motion blur, sunglasses and hands or phones covering the face. These are practical tips, not a guarantee: AI can change facial details, body proportions and movement.
Why does my iPhone photo fail to upload?
Check the actual file format. If it is HEIC, export or convert it to JPG, PNG or WebP before uploading; renaming the extension does not convert the file. Resize or compress files larger than 10 MB. Upload a photo rather than a Live Photo video.
Do I need to wear the costume in the photo?
No. Choose a costume in the maker and the AI generates the look. A real costume, filmed walk and template are not required. Paid output is a silent 10-second 9:16 MP4 from $3.99; add music in TikTok or Reels.
Can I upload another person’s photo?
Only with the necessary rights and permission. Do not use another person’s likeness without consent. Check the acceptable use policy and privacy policy before uploading. This tool does not grant rights to someone else’s photo, music or trademark.
Photo upload FAQ
Quick checks before uploading.
Which photo formats and sizes are supported?
Use JPG, PNG, WebP, up to 10 MB per file. Solo or pet needs one photo; owner + pet needs two separate photos. HEIC and GIF are not accepted. Use good lighting and a visible face; a sharp head-to-knees photo is preferable to a tight selfie.
Can I upload one photo containing me and my pet?
Use two separate photos in Me + my pet mode: one of you and one of your pet. This mode requires two image uploads.
Can I use a selfie instead of a full-body photo?
Yes. A clear selfie can work, but a head-to-knees photo supplies more body reference. Results vary; a photo does not guarantee an exact likeness or costume fit.
